About us

Jaeco Industries Ltd was founded in 1948 by Jack and Edna Macintyre. The name itself is an acronym based on the names of the founders:  Jack And Edna’s COmpany. Hence, Jaeco.

The company started out manufacturing builders hardware for wooden window joinery, then in the early 1970’s branched out into the manufacture of Bathroom Accessories, with the introduction of the “Exclusive” range. This range found widespread acceptance among consumers at the time with its innovative design and unique finish. In more recent times Jaeco has continued this tradition of design and innovation introducing many new Bathroom ranges within New Zealand as well as finding a market in the U.S. for several specifically designed ranges which are sold to the Rohl Corporation. A highly successful and respected Wholesaler of Kitchen and Bathroom products.
While Design and innovation are hallmarks of the Jaeco Bathroom Accesory line the Builders Hardware range is typified by tried and true designs which have well and truly stood the test of time.

As a result many of the products in the Builders hardware line, such as the 180 Casement Stay and the 121 Standard Wedge Fastener, have become industry standards for builders and the DIY enthusiast throughout New Zealand.

Jaeco is a proudly New Zealand owned and operated family business. In 1998 the company was purchased by Ashley Corbett and John Seabright, both of whom set there respective sons hard at work in the Jaeco Factory. Both James Seabright, and Jamie Corbett still work within the organization, using their ‘ground up’ knowledge and experience to further contribute to the development of the company. Jaeco is currently owned by John Seabright and managed by Jamie Corbett.

Great emphasis is placed on backing up our quality range of products by providing helpful and friendly support to all our customers, no matter how large or small.
